Every month, the release of the new movies is one of the most awaited things by most of us. And since, December has just came,  let’s take a peek on  some of the movies that you should watch out for before the year is out!

1. 波士糖仔 Papa, Come Home

Release Date: December 7

This upcoming Malaysian movie tells a story of a drug addict, Tong Bo, who is always struggling between his job in the underground,  his addiction and his love for his son, Tong Zai. His wife Wai Ling, who passed away due to sickness has put their son’s custody to him in hope that their son can warm his heart and eventually make his father to come home.

2. Slumber

Release Date: December 7

A supernatural horror-thriller about a sleep doctor who tries to protect a family against a demon that lives in their nightmares.

3. Wonder

Release Date: December 7

Wonder, an American drama film based on R.J Palacio’s novel of the same name, tells a story of a fifth grade boy named August “Auggie” Pullman with an extremely rare medical facial deformity called “mandibulofacial dysostosis”,  which is likely Treacher Collins syndrome. This movie will surely inspire and touch the heart of every spectator.

4. Jeepers Creepers 3

Release Date: December 7

After more than two decades, the third installment of the American horror film Jeepers Creepers is now back on track. In this movie, Sheriff Dan Tashtego and a team of creeper hunters enlist officer Davis Tubbs to help stop the monster’s eating spree.

5. Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!

Release Date: December 7

A Japanese animé movie depicts a story of Ash Ketchum who is now a ten-year-old boy who is ready to become a Pokémon Trainer.

6. The Snowman

Release Date: December 7

This film portrays the story of a detective named Harry Hole, who tries to find out the elusive serial killer that only appears in winter season. With the help of his smart novices, he has to figure out the person behind the creepy snowman figure before the next heavy snowfall appears.

7. Husband Killers

Release Date: December 14

An action crime film about Chanel, a contract killer who is happily married for ten years later discovered that her husband has been having an affair to a thief,  Doir. The two woman promised to set each other to death not until they found out that there is another woman named Hermes Tong. Both decided to hunt down the two, however the whole thing is a schemed by their man to eliminate all three, so the trio decided to set their target on the cheater.

8. Muse

Release Date: December 14

An  English-language Spanish supernatural thriller film inspired by a novel The Lady Number Thirteen is about a Literature professor Samuel Salomon, who has been having a recurring nightmare of a woman brutally murdered by a weird ritual after his girlfriend died. The same woman who appears on his dream is found dead. Later, Solomon met a woman who claims to have the same dream. The two helps each other to solve the mystery.

9. Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Release Date: December 14

This upcoming American epic space opera film, depicts how Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker.

10. Ferdinand

Release Date: December 14

This American 3D computer-animated comedy film depicts the adventure of Ferdinand, a giant bull with a big heart who is determined to return to his family after being captured and mistaken for a dangerous beast.

11. Bleeding Steel

Release Date: December 21

An upcoming Chinese sci-fi thriller film starring Jackie Chan, who plays the role of a hardened special forces trying to protect a young woman from a sinister criminal gang, with whom he feels special connection, like they’ve met in a different life.

12. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Release Date: December 21

After 20 years, Jumanji is back! This upcoming American action adventure film is about the story of four teenagers who discover an old video game console and are literally drawn into the game’s jungle setting becoming the adult avatars they chose.

13. All the Money in the World

Release Date: December 28

This British-American historical drama film is about the kidnapping of 16-year-old boy and his desperate mother who tries to convince his billionaire grandfather to pay the ransom.

14. Pitch Perfect 3

Release Date: December 28

An American musical comedy film, which is the third and final installment of Pitch Perfect trilogy. This movie shows how the Bellas split apart after winning the World Championships. They later discovered that there aren’t job prospects for making acapella music.

15. The Greatest Showman

Release Date: December 28

An American biographical musical drama film of an American showman P. T. Barnum who becomes the founder of the circus that becomes the prestigious traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

16. The Liquidator

Release Date: December 28

Depicting a story of a criminal psychologist and a forensic fingerprint expert who works together to track down the serial killer targeting people who are found innocents of notable crimes.
