Old Bagan was once the capital of a powerful ancient kingdom where you can still see the palace ruins and walls, as well as the famous pagodas. There are no residents in here today but only a few high-end hotels operated by the government. This scenic place is perfect for sunrise or sunset strolls where the light of the sun passes the beautiful pagodas!
