Vietnamese village of Batam Island is in Pulau Galang which used to be a gathering place for Vietnamese people back then. There were nearly 250,000 Vietnamese who lived here between 1975 to 1995. However, after the completion of the Barelang Bridge, this village was discovered by the Indonesian government and sent the Vietnamese back home. Today, there are a lot of monkeys you can see in here and even feed but be careful!
