1. The Boss Baby

Plot: Tim Templeton, a seven-year-old boy, is jealous of his fast-talking, briefcase-carrying baby brother. So he planned to win his parents’ affection back. But he found a secret plot by Puppy Co.’s CEO Francis E. Francis which revolves around his baby brother and threatens to destabilize the balance of love in the world. Baby Boss and Tim teamed up to save their parents.

2. Beauty and the Beast

Starring:  Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson

Plot: The highly anticipated adaptation of the much-beloved Beauty and the Beast that stars Harry Potter’s Emma Watson who plays Belle and Dan Stevens, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson and Ian McKellen lend their voices. It is about a young woman named Belle who is taken prisoner by a Beast in his castle in exchange for the freedom of her father. Belle befriends the enchanted staff of the castle and the Beast. But Gaston, a hunter, plans to take Belle for himself and intends to hunt down the Beast.

3. Smurfs: The Lost Village

Starring: Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, Joe Manganiello as Hefty Smurf, Jack McBrayer as Clumsy Smurf, Danny Pudi as Brainy Smurf and Rainn Wilson as Gargamel

Plot: The smurfs live peacefully in Smurf Village. Gargamel, the villainous wizard, makes it his mission to capture the Smurfs and become the most powerful wizard in the world. Smurfette sees a blue creature hidden by a leaf and follows it straight into the forbidden forest.

4. Before I Fall

Director: Ry Russo-Young

Starring: Zoey Deutch, Halston Sage, Logan Miller, Kian Lawley, Jennifer Beals, Diego Boneta and Elena Kampouris

Plot: The story is based from the book with the same title written by Lauren Oliver that follows the life of Samantha Kingston, a high school senior who  finds that she may be living the last day of her life over and over until she gets it right. The story will make the viewers ask themselves who would they kiss, who would they tell the truth, who would they save if they only have one day left.

5. Fast & Furious 8

Director: F. Gary Gray

Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood

Plot: Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon while Brian and Mia have retired from the game. A mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of crime that he cannot escape. The elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from releasing chaos.

6. Shock Wave

Director: Herman Yau

Starring: Andy Lau

Plot: A series of bombings occur in Hong Kong, and the city’s busiest underwater tunnel was blocked by ruthless criminals , and hundreds of citizens are taken hostage. Blast threatens to blow up the tunnel. Cheung must bring Blast to justice and pull apart the conspiracy behind it.

7. Selfie From Hell

Director: Erdal Ceylan

Starring: Alyson Walker, Tony Giroux, Meelah Adams

Plot: The Selfie From Hell is a movie portraying a story of an author and a film student Meelah Adams who made a short film as part of her bachelor’s thesis on the effects of viral videos when a looming figure appear behind her.

This thrilling movie is enough to make you want to sleep at night with the lights on.

8. Get Out

Director: Jordan Peele

Starring: Daniel Kaluuya, Catherine Keener, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford and Caleb Landry Jones

Plot: This American psychological horror film shows a story of a young African-American man (Chris) who will soon meet the parents of his girlfriend (Ruth) which leads him to know the disturbing discoveries about his girlfriend’s family background.

9. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Starring: Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell

Plot: Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, this film is about the continued adventure of the Guardians as they help Peter Quill know more about his real parentage.

10. Love Off the Cuff

Starring: Miriam Yeung and Shawn Yee

Plot: Love Off the Cuff is a romantic-comedy Hong Kong movie is a sequel to 2012 film Love in the Buff  starring Jimmy and Cherie who fell in love in the back alleys of Hong Kong (2010), who both found love in the new city, but then, decided to stay together (2012). In this 201u movie, Cherie and Jimmy will bravely pass the stormy seas just to save their relationship. Laugh and fall in love as you watch this movie.
